The opening of the “speisewerk” event location in November 2016 marked the launch of a unique digitised catering world with seating for 1,200 guests. The opening attracted major attention in the trade press.

Not only healthy, and above all regional lunchtime dishes are focused on here, but also the fully rounded package of networking and working in a creative environment, the creation of a work-life balance, a relaxed place to chill during breaks or meet customers. Besides all the benefits for guests, the location also offers a thrilling feature for caterers and other businesses – the digital age, the “speisewerk” already epitomises the canteen kitchen of the future, demonstrating what innovation can achieve as Europe’s largest digitised kitchen. Shortly after opening, it was already catering for 500 to 600 guests at lunchtime, and providing daily meals for more than 2,500 pupils and kindergarten children in the region. Business meetings, standing receptions, corporate events and in-house shows are staged for up to 1,200 guests in the “speisewerk’s” exceptional ambience.
