Messe Stuttgart organises high-profile trade fairs for professional visitors and the general public and congresses worldwide. As Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, board spokesman explains the key mission of the trade fair organisation: “As an international showcase for innovation and path-breaking developments, we bring together supply and demand from around the globe.” It ranks as one of Germany’s Top 10 trade fair organisers with earnings totalling EUR 147 million and a net result of EUR 28 million.

Around 21,000 exhibitors come here annually. They exhibit their products and services to 1.35 million visitors in halls covering an area of 105,200 square metres, 40,000 square metres of outdoor space and around 33 multi-purpose rooms in the adjoining ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart. However, this is about to change – please read on. The construction of the Paul Horn Hall will extend Messe Stuttgart’s surface area to 120,000 square metres.

Along with the Messe Stuttgart International (MSI) division, Messe Stuttgart is represented by three subsidiaries in China, Turkey and in the USA, 19 foreign agencies and many sales partners/info offices in 51 countries in the service of its customers. Abroad it organises subsidiary fairs of the successful Stuttgart main trade fairs and also supports around 30 official German participations at leading international trade fairs.

The ICS – flexible space concept for congresses, shows and events

The ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart has earned an international reputation as the ideal setting for events of all kinds and scale: no matter whether congresses with or without an accompanying trade fair, sales training courses or company anniversaries, board of directors meetings or annual shareholders’ meetings – the flexible space concept of the ICS can be adapted to suit all organisers’ wishes. The facilities include a diversity of partitioned areas from assembly rooms for 3,000 guests to meeting rooms for four people and a multi-purpose hall with spacious foyer. In all, the ICS can hold as many as 10,000 visitors. All rooms are filled with natural daylight, equipped with outstanding conference technology and offer fascinating views over the plaza through the floor-to-ceiling glass façade of the ICS. The close proximity of the airport and motorway eases access for visitors and guests and offers excellent logistics conditions for exhibitors and organisers. In 2018 additional flexible conference rooms will be available for up to 650 persons in the redesigned and enlarged West entrance.
